Have you been finding it difficult to bridge the generation gap between you and your grandchildren or younger people in general? I teach basic computer skills to Senior People on a voluntary basis in their homes, and at a local computer centre and the main question always seems to be, show me how to email my grandchildren. On top of the generation gap we also have the problem of so many families being split up in different parts of the country or across the world. One of the most basic skills to bridge the gap is emailing. If you join the younger generation and use their way of communicating, the gap is very quickly forgotten. If you have a mobile phone finds out how to send text messages, another communicating skill seniors are not using. It’s cheap and it works. Most of you will have a built in Email in your computer such as Outlook Express. This is connected to your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Setting it up is very simple but you will need some information from your provider. Phone them and ask for it and then fill up the form and your away. Another way and I think a better one, is to have an email that you can log into on any computer and in any country. While you are away travelling for instance. There are a lot, but the best I have found are Gmail and Hotmail. Both are free and take very little time or knowledge to set up. Just Google up Gmail and you will be directed to their email sign up site. Before you start they will ask you for a user name and password. Decide on these and write them down before you start to fill up the information. There is a possibility you will not get what you want so be flexible and think it out before you start. Choose a few different combinations of password and login, i. e.; Password: David10 Login: dancestudio. Remember what ever you choose they will be case sensitive, so if you use only lower case it will always be lowercase, the same if you use a capital letter such a D and the rest lower case. It will always be, for example: David. It is most likely you will have to use at least 6 digits. You might want to put your name, lets say Ann, then you would need to have at least 3 digits more, so why not Ann plus your birth year i. e. ann1947. Make up a few ideas and when you put them into the email program they will tell you what is available and also suggest alternatives as close as possible to the one you have asked for. Do take a password that you are going to remember. You might have Login ann1947 and then you need a password such as 123456 any combination or a word. Try and always keep the same password and login in the future because trying to remember a lot of different ones is a nuisance. If you have a mobile phone put them in under New Contact so if you are out or away you will always have that with you. This is a good trick for keeping numbers, but make sure nobody else would have access to the information if you lost your phone. When you first sign up for the account (it called an account but it’s free), they will ask you for secret questions only you would know. For example; where were you born? Or mother’s maiden name? Pets name? Etc. This is for your safety so if you loose your information it can be recovered. That’s all there is to it. Now you have an email account and can contact anyone in a flash. One word of caution, do not download information unless you know who has sent it. Use the delete button on any suspicious emails. You will find some emails called Junk. In the Junk folder. Remember to take a look at them every day because an important one may have slipped through. As you get used to your program you will find files for keeping information, how to upload photos and many other bits and pieces that will keep you in touch with your loved ones and they will think you are one cool grandparent. It’s a win win situation

Tips for starting an import and export business part 2
There are several different types of import/export businesses. Some will help companies to transfer sell their products overseas. Some will buy products, and then search for buyers overseas. Some will find buyers who are lacking products, and track down a seller and work out a deal between the two. If you want to be a sort of import/export “freelancer”, you will establish all sorts of contacts, and perform whatever jobs need done out of the things I have mentioned. When you gain expertise in the technical aspects of moving shipments of items, you will be a sought-after asset for all international companies. To start with, you should narrow your idea down to a simple venture to get started with, and test the waters. First you need to find out about any legal factors that may be involved with your importing. Particularly if you are importing a food product, you will have to deal with all sorts of licenses and other hoops to jump through. Talk to your local business bureau, and tell them your business idea. From there you will be able to get the ball rolling on whatever processes you will have to go through. This could include local business practices, or customs for the country you are shipping to. Investigate all aspects so that you don’t get hit with a nasty surprise when it’s too late in the game. Running an import/export business takes a lot of courage, and a lot of effort. But if you have the personality and the ideas to make it work, then it could be a great possibility for a lifelong career. Just consider what all you could sell, and how you are going to do it. Make sure that you are fairly knowledgeable about trading in general before you try to do it internationally. And most of all, you should be willing to go out on a limb and take risks for the sake of starting up a better business.

How to make a living selling on the internet
Starting a business is easier than you think; it takes a few steps that are easily completed to get your business off the ground. I have run several companies during my lifetime and I have to say that starting and running an Internet business is probably the easiest way to get going. The first step is to do some research into a product which interests you. You need to establish if there is a market for the product and also ensure that the market is not flooded. There are a number of industries that are absolutely flooded and it would be a waste of time getting into. They include: Credit Cards, The Sex Industry, Real Estate or Pharmaceuticals. Do a search and if there are hundreds or thousands of companies selling exactly the something for almost the same price it would probably be best to thing of another product to sell. Once you have selected your product, you need to get a website built. You do this by registering a domain name, buying some hosting for your website and actually building your site. There are plenty of companies out there that can offer you all three. Most of them have templates that make building a website as easy as writing a letter. After you have got your website up and running you need to be able to take payments over the Internet, the easiest way to do this is to set-up a Paypal business seller account. Make sure your website is error free and can complete a sale properly. You may want to use your own credit card and sell your self something in a test run. You now need to market your site; you can do this in hundreds of different ways. I would suggest Google’s Pay-Per Click system. It gives results almost immediately. You do need to watch you spend though. I would also suggest starting to do some SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) so you will eventually be able to wan yourself off Googles Pay Per Click system. You might also consider selling your product on E-Bay, and through other vendors on the internet.

Building a successful blog what is a model blog
Blogs are much like people; they each have their own individual personality and style. This makes it nearly impossible to refer to a single model of success that all bloggers should follow, but there are several recommendations that are considered a fundamental part of creating a successful blog. The first step is finding your individual niche. Most blogs relate to a central theme, whether that is parenting, working from home, or gardening. Focusing on one general topic or issue allows you to target a particular audience with your writing, helps the search engines to rank your blog, and can also help you establish a reader base with an interest in your content. The overall appearance of your blog is just as important as the theme. The style, colors, and design of your blog should reflect the type of information you provide. Remember, your visitors’ first impressions of you will be a result of the look you have selected and will often determine if a guest will read your content or simply click away. A well designed layout will turn visitors into readers. It is also important that you make it easy for visitors to find the information they are looking for. Many people will find your blog while searching for a particular subject. There are several different tools you can use to help these visitors find other relevant content and continue to browse your site. - Use an easy to understand category system to archive past posts so readers can find the topics they are looking for. - Include links to related posts within each of your posts. - Showcase your most popular posts in the sidebar for easy access. - A search box that allows readers to search your blog will also be useful. Once you have established your niche audience and decided on the best presentation, it is time to pay attention to your content. The best blogs are typically those written in a comfortable, personal tone with reliable information, then seasoned with your own thoughts and opinions. It is important to develop a single style that is displayed throughout your blog in every post to build trust from your readers. Take advantage of spell checkers and use proper grammar to enhance your credibility as a blogger. A major appeal of blogs over traditional websites is the ability to always find fresh, new content. Your readers and the search engines both appreciate regular updates and new posts, making fresh, quality content a vital part of your successmit at least two to three days a week to writing new blog posts and strive to write on a daily basis. Return visitors who continually find interesting material on your site will soon turn into regular readers. Building a successful blog takes time and will not happen overnight. Implementing these suggestions will steadily increase your search rankings, as well as your traffic, and you will soon have a profitable, worthwhile blog with a growing base of loyal readers.

In case you didn't know, it is the home business customers that make or break your business. Finding out what they want and answering their every need will help your business excel. There is an array of methods to finding out what your customers are looking for, but the biggest thing is giving them your time. When home business customers see you going out of your way to assist them and answer their questions, it shows that you care about them. Quality customer service allows you to build relationships with your customers and get away from the computer automated responses. Once you are willing to put in the time to help your home business customers, you need to find out what they are looking for. If you know what is popular and what the best methods are to reach the customers, your business will be far better off. One of the easiest ways to find this information out is through forums. Posting in forums is a great way to reel in more business while at the same time finding out what people are talking about. Forums allow you to ask questions and get feedback from potential home business customers. You will find that some responses have a negative feedback, but a majority of the time you can pick up a lot of knowledge and tips to excel your business. Another way to reach out to your home business customers is to set up an autoresponder or have a weekly newsletter sent out. This is a great method to keep people up to date with what's going on in your business, any promotions going on, and most importantly it gives you the ability to ask questions. There is nothing wrong with asking your customers what they think is the strong points to your website and what can be improved. One of the most obvious and straightforward methods to find out what's in the head of your home business customers is to put a suggestion box at the bottom of your home page. This gives all of your visitors a chance to offer suggestions and help you provide them what they are looking for. There are a number of ways you can reach out to your home business customers and find out what they are looking for, and sometimes trial and error can be the best thing out there. Trying out several methods and recording what works better than others will help you increase your traffic volume drastically. All in all, if you want to have a successful home based business you have to be willing to reach out to the customers.
7 Top ways to make money online
Why would anyone want to make money online? Well, firstly you can work from anywhere in the world that you can get an internet connection. Secondly, you can create an incredible income even if you only have a few hours a day. So if you want freedom, flexibility and want to make money, read on… So, how do you actually make money online? Here are some of the most popular and proven ways to make money online, in no particular order: 1. Make money on eBay 2. Make money with blogs 3. Make money with Online Surveys 4. Affiliate Marketing 5. Google Adwords 6. Google Adsense 7. Your own website Some of these methods require some internet knowledge, while some are suitable for a total beginner. Some will produce an immediate income while others may take months or more. For instance, blogs and surveys are ideal for the beginner, and surveys can produce immediate income. A blog is like an online journal. Surveys simply require you to share your opinion. Your own web-site on the other hand requires some expertise and will usually produce income in the longer-term. However once your site does start making money for you, it’s like having your own money-printing machine! Google Adsense is where you enable adverts to show on your blog or website, and you get paid every time someone clicks on the ads. So, if your blog or website become popular, and you are getting thousands of visitors a week or a day, you can make a great income doing pretty much nothing! (You did the work previously setting up the blog or site and now you can reap the rewards). Google Adwords is where you pay for your own advert that will appear down the right side of the page when people do a google search. For instance, let’s say you are selling health products and need more customers. If you have your own website, however simple, you can create an advert that will appear on Google’s search results when someone does a search for health products. You pay every time someone clicks on your advert. Let’s say Google charge you 20 cents a click, and for every 30 people that click you get a sale of, say, $40. As long as you are in profit with the results, it can be well worth doing. However, I strongly recommend that you follow the experts with this method, else you could waste a lot of money. Read my ebook before you get involved. Affiliate marketing can work well with Adwords. This is where you send buyers to other people’s websites and get generous commission on any sales made. The sales are tracked by way of a coded link. You don’t need to buy stock or send items to customers, the website owner does all that. This can be a superb way to make money once you understand it. Selling on Ebay is another way to make money online quickly. You don’t need to sell stuff from your loft, you can sell whatever you are most interested in – so, if you love sport, why not look into selling sports-related items. If you make jewellery, sell that. If you love dogs, sell dog-related items. Again, there are tricks of the trade that will make the difference between ebay success and failure. There are e-books available which show you how to create your own web-site and you can also get free websites when you buy information packages on the web (for examples of this visit the recommended businesses via the link below). I make money in all these areas because I think it’s a great idea to have more than one income stream. After all, why limit yourself? I go into detail about exactly how to make money online with all 7 of these methods in my free e-book (see below). My best advice is to do what I did and copy those who are already making money online as I demonstrate in the e-book. Why? Well, you can avoid wasting lots of time and money this way. I spent 18 months trying to figure out the best ways to make money online and the result is, many methods can work but not always as fast as you may wish. So, you can get started with the methods that make immediate cash and then progress into other methods if you want to earn more. Some people make six figures A MONTH online, while others just want a few hundred a week. That’s the great thing about making money online, you can build up to whatever income you want, and let’s face it, there aren’t many jobs that offer you that!

Importance of coupons
Most of you might have heard about the existence of coupons for purchase of different commodities and services. However, only a few of you might have an adequate knowledge about their use and importance. Coupons were invented as a marketing strategy to help the consumers control their expenditure in times of increasing costs, and at the same time help the producer or retailer increase his sales. Coupons were basically introduced to encourage consumers to try out a new brand or product. When a new product is introduced in the market, people might not directly go and buy it. This might be due to their doubts about the performance of the product or even its costs. Most products are priced high in the market today, so it is right for the people to have their own apprehensions before buying the product. The use of coupons in this case is that they provide certain discount on purchase of the specified product. By doing so, the retailer can market his product effectively and at the same time, the consumer will have a chance to try out the product at reduced prices. Even if he does not like the product, he will not stand to lose much money due to the discount offered. Coupons were given earlier mainly in the magazines or as print ads in the newspapers. Finding a coupon for a product required by the consumer was difficult in this case, as he had to sort through a number of magazines and newspapers. But these days, coupons are being put up on the internet also. As you know, all kinds of stuff are advertised and sold on the internet today. So when a consumer wants a specific product, he can just go to the website selling the specified product, and print a discount coupon posted there. Hence, this method also increases the number of visitors to a website. Online coupons can save you a lot of money. Coupons can be found on the internet for restaurants, auto repair, retailers, groceries, travel, baby supplies, pet supplies and many more. These coupons can also be sent through email to your friends and relatives. You cannot buy all types of products with a single coupon. The specific item for which the coupon is valid is indicated on the coupon itself. Online coupons can either to used to increase your online sales or divert your online traffic to your offline store.
A basic web hosting walkthrough
If you are relatively new to the concept of having your very own place on the web this article may help fill you in on some of the basics. There are two main categories of web hosting that I am going to cover in this article. The first is dedicated hosting and the second is shared hosting. The second type, shared hosting, I usually break down into paid and free. Normally, unless you are a very special person, you can't get dedicated hosting for free. Before I break down the hosting types, however, let's clear up some terminology... Bandwidth is the amount of data your site can transer in a given period of time. This is sometimes referred to as transfer. When people view your site on the internet they are downloading it from the server and this uses up your bandwidth. Storage is basically the measure of hard drive space your web site is allowed to take up on a server. OK, now on to the rest of it... Dedicated hosting , or more like dedicated server, is where your web site gets one entire server to itself. You are pretty much entitled to all of the resources this server has to offer. The entire bandwith and hard drive capacity is yours including memory for processing and whatever else. With larger, traffic intensive web sites dedicated hosting is pretty much a must but shared hosting is usually more than sufficient for individuals and small to smallish medium businesses. Shared hosting is basically when a hosting company puts your web site on a server with web sites from other customers. Your hosting provider will usually give you monthly limits for bandwidth, storage, email accounts and such. Depending on what server you were put on and how good your hosting provider is sometimes things can get a little crowded on a server and cause your site to be slow and unresponsive. Free hosting is shared hosting you get from a free service like geocities or another. It is usually incredibly limited. Sometimes you can "earn" a decent free hosting account by posting in forums and such but in my opinion paid hosting and a real domain name are much better. Paid hosting is actually inexpensive these days. You can get good solid hosting that will support a small business for under $100 per year. Usually hosting providers include a free domain name and free setup as well as a money back garantee. I hope you found this article helpful. If you decide to buy hosting make sure to be incredibly picky. The last thing you want is to end up with the wrong web host. Read some articles on picking the right domain name and hunt down reviews of web hosting companies. I wouldn't go with companies that aren't huge and well established. I've known many people who have lost web sites when unstable hosting companies went under. Be vigilant and have fun. Getting a web site is the cheapest way to start a business.

The scoop on how to start running your own internet business
In today’s world of e-commerce, the prospect of running your own internet business is very good. Many online businesses fail because the owner thinks all they have to do is provide goods or services that are in demand. While that plays a large role, it is not enough. It is still very important to get interest in your goods or services as well as make the final sell. Once you have your website designed, it is important to test it before allowing the public access to it. Ask friends, family members, and employees to test it for you. If you need a larger test base most colleges will assist you with having a group of students test the site. Those who test it will be reporting on accessibility, the flow, spelling or structure errors, and basically anything that they might discourage a consumer from making a purchase from your website. Advertising is a big part of any business, and e-commerce is no different. If you have a very low budget consider advertising on search engines such as Google and Yahoo. They will let you advertise for free in exchange for you promoting them on your website. With the amount of people who use search engines every day, your ad will be seen in volume. Another free way of advertising is to set up a blog in an area that your target market will view it. Once you have your website and advertising in place, invest in a tracking system. This will tell you the links that consumers are coming to your site from. This informs you of what advertisements are working and those that aren’t. Tracking will also tell you where in the order process consumers are stopping. This will allow you to make changes to those pages. For example, if a high percentage of consumers are stopping on the shipping page, you may need to offer other shipping methods or change shipping costs.

Get to know automated forex systems and improve your bottom line
Automated Forex systems (a. k.a expert advisors) are the key to making the most out of foreign trading currency markets. Forex Trading: Opportunities Lost and Gained Forex trading (the buying and selling of one currency against another to capitalize on fluctuating currency values) never sleeps. With only very minor exceptions on the weekend, Forex trading is ongoing in some time zone, in some country of the world. There is no opening or closing bell on the Forex market. Inherently, the Forex market is structured in a way that invites investing missteps and missed opportunities. Because markets are opening and closing continuously, changes to the market are occurring continuously, and unless you are a person that never, ever sleeps or eats, the potential for you to miss out (or worse, lose out) is ever-present. The only way to even the playing field in your favor is to use an automated Forex trading system to do your work for you. In fact, these systems are the very tools the pros use so that they never miss a currency trading beat. Forex Automated Trading Systems Explained Automated Forex trading systems are used to buy and sell on the Forex markets any time of the day; that means that you can still enjoy optimal Forex trading and get on with the rest of your life. Automated Forex systems (expert advisors) work according to your trading instructions. On your own, or with the help of a trading mentor, you set the parameters of your Forex trading program and instruct the system to move accordingly. The rules that you use to program your system, your trading instructions are signals to exact points of entry and exit into markets. A number of parameters can be set within your automated Forex trading system. You can define price patterns, market trends (such as fading or counter trends, following trends, or breakout trends), price points, averages, technical indicators, price level proximity and such as your rules for trading. The system will then use the parameters to create an algorithm that will work automatically on your behalf—any time of the day or night, any day of the year in any market the world over. Improve Forex Trading With Automated Forex Trading Systems By now, no doubt you've noticed a theme; automated Forex Trading Systems manage your currency trading portfolio all the time. They trade exactly as you would if you were able to do nothing else but sit by your computer and manage trades all day and night long, all week and year long. With a good automated Forex system, there is no worry that you will miss an important investment opportunity or bail-out point overnight or while at work; and there are no hounding phone calls at inopportune times from your broker who requires immediate instruction. This is the most crucial advantage of Forex trading with automated Forex trading systems, and the best reason to use one. But the advantages of automated Forex trading systems are not limited to their "always on" capabilities. Automated Forex systems also take a lot of the human element—that element that is so oft responsible for lapses in heat-of-the-moment judgments, out of the trading equation. Automated Forex systems allow you to carefully examine your own trading style ahead of time and design the system that works the best for you. You can tailor your trading to your own risk tolerance levels, which are inputted into your system. In so doing, the responsibility for making pressured decisions on-the-spot in an ever changing market is removed. Automated Forex systems take the stress and emotion out of currency trading decisions. Guesswork and room for interpretation are eliminated; fear and greed are eliminated; reliable, predictable progress is what remains; in the end, all you see is the results. To sum it up, automated Forex trading systems take the least advantageous elements of the human side of trading out of the process, and replaces it with reliable, precise currency trading instruction. In a currency market that is always evolving, the only way to maximize results is to let this modern technology work for you.

5 Reasons you should use a blog
It is becoming more common but the big question I get when talking to people is “Why use a blog?”. Off the top of my head I can think of 5 major reasons. A blog is: • Easy to update • Easy to get started • Liked by the search engines • Creating feeds automatically • Allows people to interact with you Before I start let me take just a minute to define the term blog. The following is quoted from Dr. Mani one of the earliest marketers to embrace blogs. “A blog is short for “web log” a sort of online personal diary where “anyone” can reveal his/her innermost thoughts, feelings, desires, dreams, ambitions, fears, hopes … you get the meaning. Yes, it’s a website. With one small difference. It lists posts ordered by date in a personal journal format, and is easier to create than a website – just involves typing into a form and pushing the PUBLISH button” The ease of push button publishing of most blog platforms make them one of the easiest web sites to update. On most platforms you don’t need to know HTML though it does help. If you can create a word document you can update a blog. They are extremely easy to get started. Blogger and Word Press both can be started without much more than creating an account and clicking a few choices. Now there are huge advantages to hosting your blog on your own domain. But even there if you have cpanel hosting with Fantastico it is an almost fill in the blank process to get started. No great technical skills needed. Search engines like blogs. They are usually updated regularly because it is easypare the type and push a button to update of the average blog platform to creating an HTML page uploading it either through the cpanel or FTP. Much easier so it happens much more often. Blogs tend to have fresher content. The search engines also like the RSS feeds that are created. Properly used feeds can allow you to generate links from other authoritative sites such as Technorati, Feedburner and others. These high PR sites create backlinks to your site which will make the search engines rate you higher. People can easily subscribe to your feed and know when you have updated your site through various RSS readers. Finally, the biggest advantage is that blogs can be interactive. Most blog platforms allow your reader to comment on what you have written. This does two very good things for you. You get additional updated content (which the search engines like) and you get feedback on what you have written. Which are you more likely to do? Click a comment link and leave your input on a blog or try and find a way to contact the average webmaster. Even if you do it is usually through a form or email that does not increase the content of the site. A blog definitely gets my vote. What about you?

On to aol for broadband
If you are switching from dialup Internet service, and already use AOL, they may offer you AOL for broadband when you make the switch. For many AOL users, this is something they do because they don’t want to lose their AOL email address that they may have been using for years. But for those who have never had AOL, you might wonder if this is something you want to do. The last time I moved, I signed up for a free test with AOL dialup before I decided I’d rather have DSL or cable Internet. The trial was fine, but I had a hard time getting out of it once I decided to go another way. They pursue me to purchases AOL for broadband, even though I repeatedly said I didn’t need it. It was an extra cost above and beyond what I needed to pay for my Internet service. The more I said no, the more they tried. I have to hand it to them, they are good at what they do, and I realize the person I was talking to was only doing their job. The competition for your Internet dollar is fierce, and they want to get and keep all the customers they can. I wasn’t convinced that I needed to pay an extra five dollars a month for AOL for broadband, and in the end they finally listened. AOL for broadband has its advantages, and you will find many customers who have used AOL for dialup with stay with them for broadband services. While I don’t know for sure, AOL has probably come up with a better way to keep customers, perhaps by offering the entire package for the same price you might get from your phone or cable company. However, if you have been unhappy in the past, you may be excited to try someone else. The time you have spent with AOL may make your decision for you. If you have not had a pleasant experience with them on dialup, you may not want to get AOL for broadband when you switch to a faster connection. If you want to stay with them, ask them for a deal. They may give you what you want to keep you as a customer. Just like any other product, AOL for broadband will have its good points and its bad points the final decision should be about service and price.

Traffic generator secret code to targeted traffic
Getting Traffic Easily For so many years now businesspeople are trying to decipher the easier technique on getting a targeted traffic without having to spend more money or not spend at all and the most effective way is to use traffic generator tools. Yes with close to 80% of sales taking place after the first contact it is imperative that every website have a newsletter when possible. Compelling Websites You could have a great website design compelling copy the lowest prices and fantastic specials but all your efforts will be useless unless your website is drawing traffic that is interested in what you are providing or promoting. Search engines are a major source of traffic and yet effective search engine optimization does not need to cost you a penny. Keep a constant flow of free content that your visitors will find useful on your website and add new content and information often. Invite your visitors back to your site to see the new material you're constantly adding. Traffic Exchange Systems Free Traffic Exchange Systems have become one of the most popular ways on the internet to generate and receive free traffic. Finally what about the sites that are getting new traffic from their number one ranking but dont seems to be making any sales? The largest reason for this is that those sites are not visitor friendly. It is becoming easier and easier to get lost in the Traffic Generator technology and sizzle of the Internet to assume that gadgets and software can solve all marketing problems. However do not worry as most Traffic Generator tools are built with a novice in mind. Surviving Online How can any business survive on the Internet if it is not optimized for the search engines and thus can never be found? How can they exist if over 83% of first time visitors never find their web site? How much more money could a web site operator earn if they ensured their web site was even partially visible? If you have an informative web site the search engines want to send you lots of customers. As ludicrous as this may sound being a hub for industry-related websites and information is another great idea. Make money selling advertising space in your course. You could charge for small classified ads or sponsor ads.

Commercial real estate investment strategies do it yourself market research pays
One of the strategies commercial real estate investors like to employ is hiring consultants or market research companies to analyze a specific market a commercial real estate investor wants to pursue. To a beginning investor, the overall strategy seems logical and well-intended. Who better to know a market than the analysts who spend there days and nights collecting, analyzing and reporting on such data? I’ll tell you: YOU—the commercial real estate investor. There is no substitute for doing your own research. There is no substitute for keeping your own counsel. There is no substitute for doing your own homework. Why? Because it’s YOUR MONEY that will ultimately be spent. It’s YOUR bank account that will ultimately reflect the success or failure of a commercial real estate endeavor. Too many well meaning beginning real estate investors think they don’t have what it takes to do the homework required on a market. Too many well meaning investors yield their analysis people who supposedly know more about the subject than they do. This is a costly strategic mistake. I have nothing against market research people or consultants. I have no axe to grind with them. They are extremely competent, thorough people who provide a valuable service. My issue is with HOW they are used by the commercial real estate investor. The challenge is when an investor trusts their judgment--more than his or her own. Many times an investor will be in awe of their command of the information, specifically statistics. The reason I say this is because I have seen many an real estate investor unwittingly fall victim to this process. It’s very easy to find yourself yielding to a “professional’s” opinion based upon research which you have paid handsomely for. Don’t. It is a mistake that will cost you later on. Look at it this way: Let’s say you want to invest in the stock market and you use the services of a stock broker to recommend a buy. Do you really believe that the stock broker’s goal is for you to make a wise and carefully thought out purchase? Do you really believe their recommendation has been thoroughly researched and analyzed? Forgetting the self-serving aspects of the commission he makes selling you a stock, would you really want to trust him with your investment portfolio? My guess is probably not. So what the proper way to use these market research professional? There three common ways which these professionals are valuable to the commercial real estate investor: 1. One is as a way to flush out new ideas and do homework and research “heavy lifting” which need done that the investor doesn’t have time to accomplish on his or her own. The investor know exactly the information he is after. 2. The second strategy is as a way to confirm the findings which the investor already believes are accurate. In other words, the investor is looking for a second opinion before he commits more resources to the project. 3. The third strategy is very interesting: Some investor will use professional resources to poke holes in their strategy. To find the fatal flaw. To find “the fly in the ointment”. The investor will never admit this to the professionals, yet he wants to know all the reasons the deal won’t work. You’ll notice one thing in common with these three strategies: The investor will always do his own research. It’s a critical aspect of success—one that should never be delegated.

Starting a home based business that will succeed
Starting a home based business takes a lot of self motivation because you will not have anyone driving you to succeed but yourself. You may find that even your family and friends doubt your ability to succeed with your new business. So, before you even start, you should be sure that you have a vision of where you want to go with your business and how you are going to get there. It’s a good idea to set goals, know your resources, and even know your limits. It is also important not to be afraid of small failures, but to use them instead as motivation to do better next time. Any time you begin something new, you are bound to slip up from time to time, so give yourself permission to learn along the way. If you are searching for ideas for your new business, you will find that there are literally thousands of them on the internet, if not millions. There are people waiting to teach you things and sell you their services every step along the way. If you are so inclined, you could spend thousands of dollars and get every e-book and business idea on the internet and still not have all of the information you need to succeed. The point here is that you have to pick and choose very carefully who you work with. There are people out there who will sell you anything, and they actually prey on your motivation and your determination to start your business right now. When you are searching for that new business, some things you might want to watch out for are inflated promises or guarantees. For instance, there are websites out there that will promise you millions in your first few months of business. The real top ten reasons companies are switching to voip
1. Lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for new businesses or businesses in need of replacing their existing phone system. With a Hosted VoIP PBX companies get full use of a PBX without the costly expense of equipment, upgrades and maintenance. Small businesses can have the appearance of a large centralized business with a Hosted PBX by utilizing the span of features available. 2. No need to purchase new equipment or lose your investment in your current legacy system. VoIP providers over the course of time have spent so much in product development of their Hosted VoIP Solution that many of them are not offering SIP Trunking and many businesses do not realize the benefits of SIP trunking. SIP trunking allows businesses to keep their existing analog PBX and telephones. 3. Lower Monthly Recurring Charges. Bundling voice and data on to one network provides one solution, one bill and one provider. Most VoIP providers offer unlimited local and long distance calling and a good bundled solution should also provide a fast business class internet connection. The benefits to bundled services are that it maximizes the dollars a small to medium size business is spending on telecommunication services. 4. Over 70% of traditional phone bills are wrong. VoIP customers know ahead of time every month exactly how much their bill is going to be for all services except international calling. There is very little room for billing errors and crammed bills full of services not requested or required. 5. Cuts Operating Costs. VoIP solutions are software based and is easily updated, changed and expanded without further capital expense. The hosted PBX is completely maintenance free because there is no hardware. It is a virtual system. Unlike conventional legacy phone system that is hardware based and are expensive to make changes and require costly equipment purchases to expand calling capacity. 6. Streamline Communications. With VoIP companies can take advantage of simple 3 digit transfer to any supported property or office. No matter if one office is in Boca Raton and the other office is in New York the call is transferred as if they were in the same building. Furthermore businesses can consolidate call answering from a central location too. Eliminate the need and responsibility of every office location having to manage their incoming calls with centralized call answering. 7. Disaster Proof a hosted PBX phone system coupled with an IP telephone is disaster proofpanies lost several thousand dollars because of the loss of communication during and after the hurricanes. The PBX is hosted off site in a secured facility with multiple back up systems and reroutes. 8. QOS stands for “Quality of Service” gone are the days of dropped unclear calls. Business class VoIP maintains a high QOS and technological advances in IP telephony transportation have made Internet calling as good as or better than normal PSTN connections. This is true for high speed Broadband connections and dedicated internet connections, whereas dial up services have some way to go before delivering the quality of PSTN calling. 9. Hybrid VoIP Solution. There are a few VoIP providers that deploy a hybrid VoIP solution that automatically reserves or routes resources for optimal bandwidth allocation. The system automatically ensures that the VoIP call has the bandwidth needed allocated from point to point before the conversation takes place. The second is prioritization: Here, the end point suggests a priority on the packets and each router decides if it will honor this request or not. Voice will always take a priority over data. A hybrid solution furthermore distributes the bandwidth that on a traditional system is not dynamic or flexible. 10. Multi Layered Security Unlike traditional service VoIP attacks are prevented because of the multitude of layers and encryptions placed within the provider’s networks. The layered security approach not only prevents attacks, but the probability that if broached it will meaningfully reduce the probability that the attack succeeds.

The five little known fact about starting a daycare center
If you were going to ask your friends, “could you make a living at doing childcare out of your home?” What do you think they would say? Chances are they would say no way, but I’m here to tell you different. In fact I’m here to educate you as to the vast amount of potential that lies within this small business. I’ve always been a believer in doing the opposite as everyone else. When you zag I zig. I’ve talked to a lot of people out there, some who stay home and make no money and others who desperately want to stay home and create some type resemblance of order in their life. Daycare business is a serious business, it’s not babysitting or taking care of a couple of kids here and there. It’s about running a profitable small business that provides a viable income. Below you will discover interesting fact’s regarding childcare. Fact #1 It Really Takes No Money To Start Up This Business I think this has to be one of the few businesses out there that you can start up for next to nothing. Just think about this for a minute, maybe you have children’s items lying around in your basement that no one is using. The funny thing is most daycares utilize the items that around 90% of most households. This would include, couches, small tables, sleeping bags, and of course T. V sets. And in case you don’t have any toy’s and books, you can always visit the local library and area rummage sales. Fact #2 Almost Everything is Tax Deductible Just about everything you use in your house is tax deductible and I mean just about everything! You can also think about tax deductible purchases such as that new couch you bought this year that children sit on, or how about your cell phone bill that parents call you up on. If a household expense can some how relate to your childcare business, than you can write it off. Fact #3 How Much Money Do DayCare’s Really Make? Here’s the real surprise, are you sitting? I made over $90,000 in my daycare last year. Not to shabby, why do you think we hate being called babysitters? When was the last time you met a babysitter that made that kind of money?. Fact #4 Who Is Doing All The Work In The Daycare? A lot of family daycares employ assistants who help out with Daycare children. While the assistants are working you are doing more important things. Perhaps, caring for your own children, making money at other things, or out just plain out having fun. I work at my daycare perhaps 5 hours per week which gives me lot’s of time to pursue other adventures. Fact #5 You Can Start Your Business Today, and Collect Cash Tomorrow? That really the reality of it all, it’s easy to find children to enroll as well. Tell your friends, visit your area schools and churches. Everyone is looking for good childcare and particularly someone they can trust. Why not you? As you can see, day care is a real business. A lot of people out there are successful and really, are making a lot of money.

Increasing return on investment
Many new business owners and investors believe that profits depends on the price of the product, and the number that are sold. Whether the product is a house, a course, an investment product, or an ebook, profit and loss is dependent on more than the price of the product and the number that you sell. ROI Return On Investment, the ROI, refers to the amount of profit you earn on every dollar spent. Two businesses may sell product A for $100 eachpany A may have an ROI of $40pany B has an ROI of $20. Both of these companies sell the same product, for the same price, but company A is better organized, has fewer expenses, and sells more products for the same cost. A low ROI can be the result of poor office management, or a poor sale’s record. There are several different factors that may lower the ROI. But, in short, the ROI is based on the number of sales you can generate on your yearly operating budget. The more sales you generate, the higher your ROI. There are several ways to increase your ROI. The first is to take a close look at the cost of operating your business. Many businesses operate under a lot of waste. They hire a full time secretary when outsourcing would be sufficient. The second method is to tighten up the company’s sale’s network. This may involve spending money on research. It may require and investment in time to learn what your consumers want, need, and what problems draw them to your product or service. Two-Way Marketing Most companies that have a low ROI also lack a two-way marketing plan. They may do market research, or run some surveys, but they also lack of two way communication between the company and the consumer. Many high-profile companies believe that courses, convention weekends, and marketing surveys are good substitutes for two-way communication between the company and the consumer. Unfortunately, all of these types of marketing are one way. They keep the company in control of the information control. The consumer has only two choices. They may respond to the company representative or agent, or they may remain quiet. Two-way marketing allows customers the opportunity to voice their opinions, concerns, and write their own content. Then the company collects the information and uses it for marketing, even if it contradicts their current target marketing efforts. Television companies do this. They consider that 1 response to a program is worth 1000 responses. So, a company that has 10 responses that suggest a new problem, or concern, can represent another 9000 or 90 000 people who did not take the time to respond. This type of marketing is not an inconvenience to overlook. It is a powerful marketing tool that can be used to find secondary markets or products that might increase your ROI. For example, let’s say that you sell a ‘how to start a business course.’ However, your course package offers a mentorship program that includes 1 hour a month with a certified Success coach. This not only sells a business to consumers, but it sells problem solving. Profit Increasing ROI will also increase the profit. There are a thousand methods of increasing an ROI. The easiest to understand, and cheapest, is to build two-way marketing between the consumer and the company.
